The Purpose of Memorizing the Quran
One of the main purposes of memorizing the Quran is to preserve it for future generations in its complete and authentic form. Allah emphasizes this in the verse: “Indeed, it is We who sent down the message [the Quran], and indeed, We will be its guardian” (Surah Al-Hijr: 9).
Uthmān reported God’s messenger as saying, “The best among you is he who learns and teaches the Qur’ān.”
Bukhārī transmitted it.

The Importance of Memorizing the Quran
Throughout history, countless individuals have committed the Quran to memory, following the example of the Prophet (PBUH) and his companions. This is a process that requires sacrifice, dedication, and sincerity, and it has continued for centuries as an essential aspect of the Muslim community. Allah Himself has promised to protect the Quran, and memorizing it is a way to fulfill that divine promise.
Many Hafizs (those who memorize the Quran) have played a crucial role in preserving this sacred text.
